Online application – step by step

The Government of Tamil Nadu accepts new applications via the KMUT portal:

  • Open kmut.tn.gov.in on any browser
  • Click ‘New Application’ / ‘புதிய விண்ணப்பம்’
  • Enter Aadhaar number and verify OTP
  • Fill personal details, address, bank IFSC and account number
  • Upload ration card, Aadhaar, bank passbook and photo (each < 200 KB)
  • Review and submit – note down your acknowledgement number
  • Track status any time using Aadhaar or ration card number

Camp-based application

If online submission is not possible, visit the nearest Magalir Urimai Thogai camp organised by the Revenue Department at Taluk offices with original documents. Officers will verify and submit the application on your behalf.
